Privacy Policy

Smash Daddys ("we", "us", "our") operates RAWMASTER. This policy explains what data we collect and how we handle it.

The short version: Your audio never leaves your machine. We don't collect, store, or process your music. The only data we handle is your license key for validation.

1. Local Processing

RAWMASTER runs entirely on your computer. All audio processing — stem separation, mastering, MIDI extraction, and BPM/key detection — happens locally. No audio files are uploaded to our servers or any third-party service.

2. Data We Collect

License Validation

When you enter your license key, RAWMASTER sends it to the Gumroad API for verification. This request contains:

Your license key
Our Gumroad product ID

No audio data, filenames, usage statistics, or personal information is transmitted. Validated licenses are cached locally in ~/.rawmaster/license for 30 days to enable offline use.

AI Model Downloads

On first use, RAWMASTER downloads AI model weights from public repositories (PyTorch Hub, HuggingFace). These downloads are standard HTTP requests and do not transmit any personal data.

3. HuggingFace Demo

The free demo at HuggingFace Spaces processes audio on HuggingFace's infrastructure. Audio uploaded to the demo is processed in memory and is not stored by us. HuggingFace's own privacy policy applies to their infrastructure. The demo is limited to 90-second clips.

4. Browser Extension

The RAWMASTER browser extension:

Communicates only with the local Companion daemon at 127.0.0.1:5432
Does not transmit any data to external servers
Stores user preferences (stem count, MIDI toggle) locally using Chrome's storage.local API
Does not collect browsing history, cookies, or personal information
Does not track usage or analytics

5. Landing Page

Our website at rawmaster.smashd.tools:

Does not use cookies
Does not use analytics or tracking scripts
Does not collect personal information
Uses Google Fonts, which may set standard HTTP caching headers

6. Third-Party Services

RAWMASTER integrates with the following third-party services:

Gumroad — payment processing and license validation. Gumroad's privacy policy applies to purchase transactions.
HuggingFace — hosts the free demo. HuggingFace's privacy policy applies.
Google Fonts — font delivery on the landing page.

7. Data Retention

We do not store any user data on our servers. The only local file created by RAWMASTER is the license cache at ~/.rawmaster/license, which contains your license key and a timestamp. You can delete this file at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

RAWMASTER is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to request access to, correct, or delete. If you have questions about your Gumroad purchase data, contact Gumroad directly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
